A 14X entrepreneur, Michael S. Gorton has proven to be a strategic visionary in the healthcare industry.

As founding CEO of Teladoc Corporation, the world’s leading telehealth company, Mr. Gorton pioneered a health care model in which members had access to telephonic physicians who could review medical records, treat, and prescribe medication that today supports the new paradigm in health care reform.

His latest venture, Recuro Health, is an integrated digital health solutions company that takes a uniquely personalized and proactive approach to virtual care. Unique to the health care industry, Recuro has created a Digital Medical Home to enable customized care that meets patients’ needs no matter their location or circumstance. Recuro’s goal is to help move the U.S. from the current “sick care” system to a true “health care” system.

Prior to founding Teladoc, Mr. Gorton founded Internet Global, a company that delivered the first DSL network and one of the first VOIP networks at a time when few people predicted the profound impact the Internet would have on communication and society.

Mr. Gorton holds a BS in electrical engineering and engineering physics from Texas Tech, an MS in Space Physics from The University of Texas at Dallas, an MS in physics and engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a JD from Texas A&M University.
